There’s a funny thing I noticed about creative people: we speak in code.
A symbolic language that’s simultaneously literal and metaphorical, poetic and practical.
It’s the language of “art,” and to the outsider, it can sound like romantic nonsense.
But we speak this way because the truth of art is too powerful to be said plainly.
We say “the creative spark” because it’s not a flicker...it’s a fire.
It doesn’t just light up a room. It sets your soul ablaze.
You don’t find it. It finds you.
And once it does? You don’t walk away untouched.
We say “the creative process” because it’s a metamorphosis.
It’s not something you do...it’s something you go through.
You’re not the same on the other side.
Every piece you make is a version of you reborn.
We say “tap into our creativity” because it’s already in you.
It’s not borrowed. It’s not learned.
It’s been there since childhood, hiding under the rubble of expectations and fear.
Tapping in isn’t discovery. It’s remembering.
We say “unlock our creativity” because there are keys.
Not rules. Not formulas.
Keys that are handed down, earned, or discovered in the depths of your own resistance.
Rules restrict. Keys release.
We call it a “journey” because it is one.
Not a straight line. Not a sprint.
But a sacred path that loops, twists, and doubles back on itself.
Each step is a return to yourself.
We say “self-expression” because what you make is you.
Pieces of you, carved out and shaped into something others can see.
It’s vulnerability in physical form.
It’s therapy.
So next time you speak the language of creativity, know this: It’s not because you're trying to be dramatic.
It’s because language breaks under the weight of the beauty we're trying to say.
Only artists will understand...
Stay creative,
