Great love comes from a great understanding of the thing loved.

The more you understand something while continuing to love it, the more powerful your love is.

The only way to gain a deeper understanding of your partner is through effective communication. You see, most people judge others based off of their actions instead of their intentions, while they judge themselves based on their intentions instead of their actions. Effective communication comes from effectively expressing your intentions, thoughts, and feelings while actively listening to understand your partner’s.

Here’s where the real problem lies...

How can you communicate with someone for them to understand you if you don’t even truly understand yourself?

What is the process of gaining understanding of yourself? Self love.

You cannot teach someone how to understand you until you understand yourself. That means that literally cannot truly be loved by anyone else until you love yourself.
